Continuing Education Made Easy with Signs of Communication, LLC!

Happy April! Signs of Communication, LLC is thrilled to bring you some exciting updates. We are delighted to announce that we are now an approved ACE Provider from the BACB, which means we can offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs)!

To kick off our CEU offerings, we have a journal article review called “Free-time as a reinforcer in the management of classroom behavior”. This CEU offers one learning type CEU for Board Certified Behavior Analysts or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts and is priced very competitively. If you are a member of the Deaf ABA Club, you already have access to this CEU! Going forward, the Deaf ABA Club will have opportunities for several CEUs every month.

Moreover, we are thrilled to announce our very first webinar event! Our “Welcome to the Deaf Community: Ethics for Behavior Analysts & Related Service Professionals” webinar is on April 19, 2023, from 11 AM to 12 PM Eastern! This informative webinar aims to help you understand and appreciate the history, values, and culture of the Deaf Community. As a behavioral health professional, it is crucial to be aware of the unique needs and experiences of this population and to approach your work with cultural humility and sensitivity. In this webinar, you will be guided through self-assessment of your own beliefs and biases towards Deaf education and how that may impact your service delivery. Whether you are new to the field or looking to deepen your understanding, this webinar is an excellent starting point for your journey towards working with the Deaf community.

The best part? If you want to watch it live, it’s completely FREE! However, if you would like to earn a CEU for your attendance or watch it later, you can purchase the webinar. The webinar will be taught in American Sign Language (ASL), and there will be an ASL-English interpreter present as well.

Lastly, we are excited to announce more about our Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) trainings! Yes, you read that right, multiple trainings! Our self-paced version of the RBT training will be released on May 6, 2023! Participants will have up to 180 days to complete their 40-hour training per BACB regulations. This is for individuals who prefer to work at their own pace or cannot make the live class.

Additionally, we are pleased to offer our Summer Cohort for RBT training. Classes will be held from 12 PM to 3 PM Eastern on Fridays from June 2nd to August 11th! Preorder for our RBT classes now to secure your spot. With our comprehensive RBT training, you will gain a deeper understanding of behavior analysis and be well-equipped to assist Board Certified Behavior Analysts in implementing behavior reduction and skill acquisition plans for clients.
