About Us

Who We Are

Signs of Communication, LLCย was founded in February 2022 in response to the lack of accessible behavior analytic options available for the Deaf community. We provide in person services in the Washington D.C. metro area (including Maryland and Virginia) and remotely via telehealth. In addition to 1:1 ABA services, we also offerย expert client consultation services for behavior analystsย and other professionals and aย resource library membership. Our missionย is to empower deaf and hard of hearing individuals to lead rich, fulfilling lives by providing accessible, neurodiversity-affirming behavior analytic services.

Learn more about the owner of Signs of Communication!

My name is Jacqueline Wunderlich and I am originally from Canton, Michigan. I graduated from Gallaudet University in 2017 with a bachelorโ€™s in Psychology and earned my masterโ€™s degree in Special Education at Ball State University in 2020. I am hard of hearing and have always had a foot in both the hearing and deaf worldsโ€” and was shocked to find the lack of accessible services in the behavioral field.

Since then, Iโ€™ve made it my mission to bridge this gap and provide accessible ABA services. I am a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Maryland. In my free time, I enjoy reading fantasy and romance novels, attempting to make arts and crafts, watching sitcoms, and hanging out with my dog (Bonsai) and hedgehog (Dandelion).

Todayโ€™s ABA demonstrates how we feel Applied Behavior Analysis should look like โ€” ethical, humane, values-focused and neurodiversity-affirming. Watch to learn more about what this looks like in practice.
